GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—The Montana Western Bulldogs (6-1) topped the Grizzlies of Adams State (Colo.) (1-3) in four close quarters of basketball.
The Bulldogs led the Grizzlies for the entire game, though the Grizzlies gained momentum early in the fourth to bring them within two points of the Bulldogs. Montana Western held onto their lead to close out the game 71-61.
"That was a great test for our team," coach Woolley said. "Adams State ball pressure was really good and took us out of our flow the whole game. Luckily, we were able to string together a few stops late [in the game]."
