BUTTE, Mont. The Montana Western Bulldogs opened the season with a resounding 81-37 win over Walla Walla Friday afternoon.
Four Bulldogs scored in double figures as the Bulldogs jumped on the Wolves early and took control of the game. The Bulldogs shot 58.5 percent from the flied and made 11 shots beyond the arc.Â
Joelnell Momberg led the Bulldogs with 14 points and 5-8 shooting, connecting on four of five shots from 3-point range.
Sydney Sheridan was 6-10 for 13 points and five rebounds and three steals.
Jayden Winslow came off the bench and scored 13 points on 5 of 7 shooting. She added three rebounds and two steals.
Mesa King added 12 points and four rebounds.Â
Montana Western held the Wolves to 27 percent shooting and just 15 made field goals. Carolina Montes led WWU with a game-high 21 points.Â

The Bulldogs had 20 total assists.
The Bulldogs out rebounded WWU 43-14.
