The Bulldogs fell in straight sets to clos out the College of Idaho Fall Classic Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs battled the number five team in the nation but couldn't close out down the stretch as Dordt was able to edge the Bulldogs late in each set. 

Top Performers

• Morgan Stenger had a team high eight kills for the Bulldogs
• Freshman Jazi Smith had seven kills, three digs and three aces.
• Kelsey Goddard had 16 digs. 
• Kaylee Fritz had 17 assists and Abbey Schwager added 16.  
• Corrina Timmermans had 12 kills for Dordt.
• Megan Raszler had 15 assists for the Defenders.

Inside the Box Score

• The Defenders had nine team blocks to the Bulldogs three. 

Up Next
The Bulldogs will have the weekend off before heading to Dickinson, N.D. next weekend to play in the DSU Crossover Tournament. UMW will face Valley City State at 11 a.m. and Dickinson State at 1 p.m. on Sept. 10
