MISSOULA, Mont. - The Bulldogs men's and women's cross country team competed at the Montana Open hosted by the University of Montana at the UM Golf Course Friday afternoon.
The Bulldogs had fast times in the meet, however the men's 7k and women's 5k course were a bit short allowing for the faster finishes among the NCAA DI, DII and NAIA competitors.
Luke Lutz led the way for the Bulldog men. He finished 29th overall with a time of 22:32.2.
Jesse McMurtrey finished in 22:56.0 to come in 35th.
Joe Lamb was a few seconds behind (23:07.4) to finish in 37th place.
Jonathan Harrison finished in 47th place (23:37.4)
Eireann O'Connor led the women to a sixth place team finish. She finished eighth overall crossing the line in 17:49.
Morgan Baseley finished in 30th place (19:17.30).
Araceli Ramirez came in 33rd place (19:33.3).
Mason Baseley was just behind in 34th place (19:36.6).
Liz Varner came in 39th place (19:53.8) and
Annie Taylor finisehd in 48th place (21.04.3).
The Bulldogs are off next week and return to action on Oct. 8 at the MSUB Open in Billings, Mont.
