UMW Cross Country Competes in 2025 Frontier Conference Championships

DILLON, Mont. – The Montana Western men's and women's cross-country teams will travel to Billings, Mont. Nov. 7 to take part in the 2025 Frontier Conference Championships

Women's 6k – 10:30 a.m. MT
Men's 8k – 11:30 a.m. MT

LAST TIME OUT
The Western men's team finished 24th and the women's team took 26th at the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic.
 
Brant Heiner ran a 27:03.6 to finish 125th out of 345 runners in the men's 8k. He was 1.4 seconds shy of a season best time in the 8k. Olivia Heiner clocked a season-best 23:38.0 to finish 61st out of 279 runners in the women's 6k.
 
Harrison Silverio (27.30.8), Cael Thilmony (28:57.5), and Tristan Von Bargen (29:01.7), Justene Santi (25:58.8), and Kylee Wyatt (32:17.2) all ran to season bests in the race. x
 
CONSISTENCY IS KEY
Olivia Heiner has been the top women's runner for UMW in each race this season. She has placed in the top 50 at all four meets, including a season-best 28th at the Yellowjackets/ Battlin' Bears Open.
 
DYNAMIC DUO
Brant Heiner and Harrison Silverio have been the top two men's runners for Western this season. Brant Heiner has been the top men's finisher on four occasions and took second once while Silverio has taken the top spot once and finished second four times.
 
HITTING THEIR STRIDE
Harrison Silverio (27.30.8), Cael Thilmony (28:57.5), and Tristan Von Bargen (29:01.7), Justene Santi (25:58.8), and Kylee Wyatt (32:17.2) all ran to season bests in the race. 
 
ON YOUR MARK… SET…
Competing on the women's side for Montana Western are Madison Faulkner, Olivia Heiner, Ashley Murnion, Justene Santi, and Kylee Wyatt,.
 
For the men's team, Kreg Butler, Brant Heiner, Brody Henry, Mason Lynch, Noah Rovente, Harrison Silverio, Cael Thilmony, Tristan Von Bargen, Bridger Wheeler, and Wyatt Yeager will take the course.
 
MEET THE COMPETITION
The field features 11 teams including Bellevue, Bismarck State, Carroll, Dakota State, Dickinson State, Montana Tech, MSU-Northern, Providence, Rocky Mountain, Valley City State, and Montana Western.
 
LOOKING AHEAD
Following the FC Championships, the Bulldogs will set their sights on the NAIA Cross Country Championships, taking place Nov. 21.
