The Bulldogs battled the Fight Saints for three tough matches, coming up just short as Carroll swept the Bulldogs to open Frontier Conference play. In the first set the teams traded points throughout. Carroll then scored the final four points to win 25-20. The Bulldogs led 23-19 late in the second set. But a strong Carroll rally allowed the saints to score five straight points to take a 24-23 lead eventually wining 27-25. Following suit, the third set went back-and-forth with Carroll edging the Bulldogs down the stretch to claim the win. 

Top Performers

• Jazi Smith had eight kills and hit .467 and recorded three digs.
• Kelsey Goddard recorded 18 digs and three assists. 
• Kaylee Fritz had 17 assists and Abbey Schwager added 15.
• Lexi Mikkelson had nine kills for Carroll College.
• Kylie Kackman had 10 assists and Hannah Schwekert added nine for the Saints.
• Julia Carr had 26 digs for Carroll.

Inside the Box Score

• The Bulldogs had three players record double-digit digs.

The Bulldogs will hit the road next weekend to face No. 10 Providence on Oct. 1 and MSU-Northern on Oct. 2.
