GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Montana Western men's and women's cross-country teams competed today in the Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Jonathan Harrison broke a school record and placed 19
th overall in the highly competitive field after he ran an 8k in 25:04.0.
On the women's side in the 5k race,
Morgan Baseley came in first for the Bulldogs, placing 56
th overall and running a time of 19:11.4.
Araceli Ramirez came in next for the Bulldogs and placed 79
th overall with a time of 19:28.40.
Mason Baseley (91
st, 19:40.5),
Cecily Eagleton (130
th, 20:18.7), and
Liz Varner (159
th, 20:47.0) all competed hard for the Bulldogs in the 214-competitor field.
The men's team had a successful day as the Bulldogs saw a school record with
Jonathan Harrison break a school record after he placed 19
th overall in the field of 239 competitors.
Luke Lutz came in 85
th as he ran a 26:13.10.
Brant Heiner ran a 26:27.3 and came in 99
th.
Harrison Silverio (103
rd, 26:28.9)
Joe Lamb (153
rd, 26:56.30), and
Will Hyatt (166
th, 27:07.10) finished up for the Bulldogs in the tough race.

The Bulldogs will be heading into the Frontier Conference Championships to round out their season before the national meet on Nov. 4 in Helena, Mont. hosted at Bill Roberts Golf Course.
