Bulldog Volleyball Drops Three Straight Sets to Rocky Mountain College

DILLON, Mont.—The Montana Western Bulldog Volleyball team lost in three straight sets tonight to Rocky Mountain College (20-25, 21-25, 14-25) at home during the final home game of the 2022 season.

How It Happened
In the first set of the night, the Bulldogs were able to hang in with Rocky Mountain, keeping the score close at 8-9. The Battlin' Bears went on a run that helped put them in the lead at 13-8. Despite back to back kills from freshman Jordan Olson that brought the Bulldogs within two points, they were unable to hang in with the Battlin' Bears. They finished the first set off with a score of 25-20 over the Bulldogs. Heading into the second set, the Bulldogs got off to a solid start. Despite bringing it within one at 8-9, a four-point run on the Bulldogs flipped the momentum in the set, allowing room for RMC to hit a set high of the night of 15 kills. RMC would take set two by a score of 21-25. In the final set of the game, the Battlin' Bears jumped out to a huge lead, outscoring the Bulldogs 10-3 before the Bulldogs were able to get into a rhythm.
