DILLON, Mont.—The Montana Western Bulldogs (16-12, 5-8) downed the Argos of Providence (11-15, 2-11), 89-80.
The Bulldogs kept a consistent lead ahead of the Argos throughout the first half. Montana Western shot 53 percent from the field (17-32) and 50 percent from the arc (9-18); the Argos went 47 percent from the field (16-34) and 33 percent from the 3-point line (3-9). The Bulldogs led the Argos 46-42 at the half.
The teams continued to trade points throughout the second half. The Argos grabbed the lead by one at the 12-minute mark, but the Bulldogs regained their lead on the next possession. In the latter part of the second, the Bulldogs gained a 10-point lead and stayed ahead for the remainder of the game.
"Great win for the program," coach
Mike Larsen said. "I thought everyone stepped up and played well."

- Montana Western's Max Clark had a double-double—26 points and 11 assists—and led his team in rebounds with seven.
- Jamal Stephenson added 23 points and seven rebounds for the Bulldogs.
- Brendan Howard led the Argos with 24 points.
