HELENA, Mont. - The Montana Western volleyball team started conference play out this evening in Helena as they took on the Carroll College Saints. Down two sets to none, the Bulldogs pulled together a huge comeback to force a fifth set. Unfortunately, the Bulldogs were unable pull out a win as they fell in the fifth set.

How It Happened
The Bulldogs started out the game by losing two straight sets by scores of 14-25 and 17-25. However, that did not stop the Bulldogs as they went on to win the next two sets by scores of 25-23 and 27-25 to force a deciding fifth set. The Bulldogs fell in the fifth set by a score of 12-15.
Peyton Vogl led the Bulldogs in the front with a season high of 13 kills, six total blocks, and a .222 hitting percentage.
Danyel Martin had an outstanding game as she tallied a season high 12 kills, three total blocks, and had a hitting percentage of .370.
Kelsey Goddard led the Bulldogs in digs as she picked up 24 in the game.
Kaylee Fritz totaled 36 assists as the Bulldogs totaled 57 kills in the game.

- Tonight's loss marks the second five-set game the Bulldogs have played this season and the second in a row.

The Bulldogs will be taking a week off from action and will pick back up in their first home game next Friday Sept. 30 against the University of Providence. Game time is set for 7 PM MST in the Straugh Gymnasium.
