BUTTE, Mont. — In the first game of the Montana Tech Tip-Off Classic, the Bulldog men's basketball team (2-1) lost in a tough contest with Southern Oregon University.
The Bulldogs were led by
Abi Adedo who recorded his first double-double for UMW with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
How It Happened
The Bulldogs got a spark early on from a pair of buckets from Adedo and
Jalyn Stepney, good for a 4-0 lead three minutes into the first half.
Adedo caught fire through the half, scoring on six of seven attempts and pulling in seven rebounds in the first half alone.
The Bulldogs took a 29-26 lead into the half, a lead claimed following a layup from Adedo with under a minute to play.
The lead was pushed up to seven as Stepney rattled off six straight points four minutes into the second half. The Raiders responded with a layup and a pair of free throws to cut the Bulldog advantage to three.
The Bulldogs held their largest lead behind a layup from Stepney with 15:11 on the clock before going cold from the field.
The Raiders racked up 14 straight points and outscored the Bulldogs 38-13 down the stretch to win 74-56.

- The Bulldogs as a team shot 37.5 percent from the field and just 26.3 percent from the arc.
- Adedo led the way with 19 points, 11 rebounds and two offensive boards.
- Stepney knocked down 17 points, added four rebounds and two assists.
