Bulldog Men Snap Losing Streak with Big Win Over Carroll

DILLON, Mont. — The Bulldog Men's Basketball team snapped a six-game losing skid with a 63-57 win over Carroll College at home. The Bulldogs are now 9-16 on the season and 4-8 in Frontier Conference play.

"Really happy with our guys. To finally feel success and find a way to win with our defense was huge. Obviously, we had a bunch of new guys that had not played for a while that stepped up and it feels great. We move on to the next one." Head Coach Mike Larsen said after the game.

How It Happened
After allowing the Saints to take 12-7 lead off the get go, the Bulldogs hit their stride and went on a 13-0 scoring run that featured back to back threes from Jaden Graham and Ky Kouba.

Carroll snapped the run and answered by tying the game up at 23 with 5:04 left in the half.

The Bulldogs went into the half down three at 33-30 after Brenton Woods knocked down a three just before the half.

UMW wasted no time coming back out from the break as Colter Miller and Michael Haverfield combined for a quick nine points to give the Bulldogs a lead at 39-35.

The two teams continued to battle it out down the stretch. Haverfield's three gave UMW control of the lead and the Bulldogs clung to it for the remainder of the game to win 63-57.

"It is huge. We needed the win big time for confidence levels. We just need to be going and rolling into the tournament. We are really excited and have a great group of guys." Redshirt Sophomore Colter Miller said after the win.
