DILLON, Mont. – The UMW men's basketball program (8-3, 3-2 FC) fell to Rocky Mountain (7-1, 4-1 FC) 81-66 Saturday evening.
 
STAT BREAKDOWN
UMW shot 48.1 percent (26-54) from the floor, 30.0 percent (6-20) from beyond the arc, and 57.1 percent (8-14) from the foul line.
 
The Bulldogs registered 30 rebounds, 10 assists, four steals, and three blocks.
 
They posted 22 points in the paint, 17 points off turnovers, 10 second-chance points, and eight bench points.
 
LEADERBOARD
Emanuel Steward led the game with 30 points, followed by David Young and Kyle Gruhler with 14 points apiece.
 
Young, Jacob Ankeny, Joshua Whiteside, and Billy Carlson each pulled down five rebounds for UMW.
 
Gruhler dished out a game-best four assists while he, Young, Carlson, and Kolter Merritt each earned one steal.

The Bulldogs an early lead in the contest, but the Battlin' Bears fought their way back and into the lead by the end of the half. They held a 39-35 advantage at the break.
 
Western shot 51.7 percent (15-29) from the field, 22.2 percent (2-9), and 60.0 percent (3-5) from the foul line in the first 20 minutes.
 
Rocky Mountain stretched its lead to as many as 21 in the second half before closing out the 15-point win.
 
THE OTHER GUYS
