UMW Football Falls to Carroll 52-10 Saturday

HELENA, Mont. – Montana Western football (2-4, 0-2 FC West) fell to #12 Carroll (5-1, 2-0) 52-10 on a snowy Saturday in the state capital.

"Carroll has a really good team, much more veteran and confident than ours," head coach Ryan Nourse said. "The score wasn't indicative of how hard the guys played and the fight they have in them, it was an indicator of how mistake-laden we are as an entire team, and you can't compete with top talent with inaccurate play. It's been a long time since we have played so many freshmen and first-year players and we need more out of our veteran players to compete at our potential. I'm confident we will get it; it just may take some more tough moments like this to live through before it will happen. There's only two ways to go and that is forward and forward and that is what we will get after again next week."
