Patrick Jensen

Pat Jensen enters his second season as the Head Men’s Basketball coach in 2024-25, and his seventh season with the Bulldogs.

During his time at Montana Western, he has helped to coach two NAIA All-Americans, a Frontier Freshman of the Year, a Frontier Newcomer of the Year, 15 all-conference selections, ten CSC academic all-district selections, 20 academic all-conference selections, and 11 NAIA Daktronics scholar-athletes.

In his first season at the helm of the Bulldog program, the Bulldogs had an overall record of 14-16 on the season. The Bulldog season was highlighted by the first win over a top-10 ranked team since the 2019-20 season after defeating the No. 10 ranked Arizona Christian on Dec. 15 71-61. Western earned five conference honors, with Jalyn Stepney earning second team all-conference honors as well as being named the Frontier's Newcomer of the Year. Abi Adedo earned second team all-conference honors and Michael Haverfield grabbed honorable mention all-conference. 

Prior to coaching at Montana Western, Jensen spent three seasons with Idaho State University. As part of his duties at ISU, Jensen facilitated on court workouts with guards and forwards, opponent scouting reports, and analytics. In his first year in Pocatello the Bengals had their most wins since the 1994 season, going 16-15 overall and finishing 11-7 in league play. 

Jensen played at Montana State-Northern from 2010-2015, where he was part of two regular and one postseason Frontier Conference championship, along with four appearances in the NAIA National Tournament.

A Missoula, Mont. native, Jensen earned his bachelor degrees in business administration and health promotions from MSU-Northern. He obtained two masters degrees from Idaho State University in business administration and athletic administration.
