The Bulldogs came back from a 23-point deficit enroute to their third consecutive win and second straight conference win.
The Saints had led by 23 points with 5:15 remaining in the first half before consecutive baskets by Smalls and Robinson cut the Carroll lead to 49-34 at the break.
Smalls came out on fire in the second half, scoring 13 points in the first five minutes. He would lead all scorers in the game with 34 points, 25 of which came in the second half. Dom Robinson added 25 points, 11 came from the charity stripe. Kooper Kidgell (Billings, Mont.) attacked the basket all night, scoring 19 points while going 12 of 13 from the free-throw line.Â
Western's Riley King didn't surrender an opportunity to remind his old team what they were missing, proving his dominance on the boards with 10 rebounds, four of which led Bulldog baskets.
