Lewiston, Idaho – No. 9 Montana Western Bulldogs (18-4, 8-2) fell to the Lewis-Clark State College Warriors (17-6, 7-4) 90-89 in overtime Saturday night.
In a tale of two halves the Bulldogs started out strong, taking a 10 point lead into the half. Then the Warriors woke up storming out of the intermission to take a 12 point lead. The Bulldogs battled back to force overtime.
In the extra period the teams exchanged leads before missed free throws cost the Bulldogs. The team shot 57 percent from the line in the game.
The Bulldogs had six of eight players record double digit scoring led by Dom Robinson (Tacoma, Wash.) with 20 points, and Shyke Smalls (Great Falls, Mont.) with 17 points. Riley King recorded his second double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Bulldogs return home on Thursday Feb. 2 to face the Argos of Great Falls. Tip-off is set for 7:30 P.M.
