Volleyball Stumbles on Road Trip

Bulldogs get swept by #17 Montana Tech and Lewis-Clark State College

Story of the Day
The Bulldogs traveled to Butte, Mont. and Lewiston, Idaho to face the No. 17 Montana Tech Orediggers and the Lewis-Clark State College Warriors. The Bulldogs fell in straight sets to the Orediggers 17-25, 20-25, 17-25 as the diggers continually found holes in the Bulldog defense. On Saturday afternoon in Lewiston, the Bulldogs fell in 4 sets, 12-25, 25-19, 15-25, 23-25

Stars of the Game
Against the Orediggers Kyra Palmer had a .333 hitting percentage with 10 Kills, McKenna Fink had 29 assists. And In Lewiston,  Tessa Miller had a .375 hitting percentage with 12 kills.

Stat of the Game
1323.  With 28 digs this weekend Dylan Fowler became the School's all-time digs leader. She currently has 1323 career digs and leads the conference with 438 digs this season, and is 4th in the nation.

Turning Point
Against the Diggers, the games started close, however, the Diggers pulled away late to win each one. In Lewiston the Bulldogs just couldn't get things started, or maintain any momentum falling in 4 to the Warriors.

Coach Lewis' Thoughts
"Despite the two losses this weekend, we've actually been playing quite well in certain areas of the game. If we can find a way to put it all together again, we'll be in good shape moving forward."
