LOOKING AT THE OPPONENT - ROCKY MOUNTAIN COLLEGE: The Battlin' Bears sit atop the Frontier at 16-7, 6-0. The Bears are second in the nation in digs per game averaging 21.3 per game. Rocky's attackers lead the conference in hitting percentage with Morgan Allen (.294) and Miranda Gallagher (.272) pacing the league. As a team Rocky is 46th in the nation in hitting percentage (0.200). Daniella Russell has 262 kills and is averaging 3.2 kills a set. Setter Natalie Hilderman is among league leaders in assists with 776 total and averaging 9.4 a game which is 34th in nation. Libero Ayla Embry has totaled 466 digs (40th in the nation) and is averaging 5.6 a game. Naomi Bad Bear leads the team with 50 total blocks.
SERIES HISTORY: The two teams began playing each other in 1977 when the Frontier Conference added volleyball. Since 1990 Rocky Mountain College as held a 42-27 series advantage. Since 2012 the Bears have won 14 of the last 16 matches and have only dropped seven sets during that stretch. The seven sets won by the Bulldogs have all been in the Straugh Gymnasium.
CAREER NIGHTS: Three Bulldogs had career nights in the five-set victory over Montana State Univeristy-Northern.
Emmah Peterson tallied a career-high 14 kills and added seven blocks, the eighth time she has recorded five or more in a match.
