LOOKING AT THE OPPONENT-ROCKY MOUNTAIN: This is the third time this season the Bulldogs and Battlin' Bears have met this season with Rocky winning both matches in straight sets. Rocky Mountain finished in a third place tie with Lewis-Clark State and won the three-seed in the tournament on a tie-breaker. The 18-11 Bears received votes in the latest NAIA coaches poll and are on the bubble of qualifying for the national tournament. They need a strong conference tournament if they are to continue in postseason play. Rocky is second in the nation in digs per game (21.17) and 25th in total digs (2202). They are led by  Ayla Embry's 5.5 digs a game (25th in the nation). Natalie Hilderman is 38th in the nation with 9.32 assists per game and 46th in total assists (969). She also leads the team with 32 service aces. Daniella Russell leads the team with 3.1 kills a set, totaling 322 kills.Â
TOURNAMENT HISTORY: The Bulldogs and Battlin' Bears have met in the first round in four of the last six conference tournaments with Rocky winning in straight sets each time. The last time the Bulldogs won a first round match was in 2013 when they swept former member Dickinson State.Â
