Hodges Scores 25 in Bulldogs 89-73 Win Over Northern

Playing in his first game of the season, Jalen Hodges dominated the paint scoring 25 points in just 15 minutes of playing time to lead the Bulldogs to a 89-73 win over the MSU-Northern Lights Saturday night in the Straugh. Hodges scored 17 of his  points in the second half, 13 of which came during an impressive four minute stretch with 5:38 left in regulation. The scoring barrage gave the Bulldogs a 16 point lead after playing a tight 35 minutes witht the Lights. 


Top Performers 
  • Jalen Hodges scored 25 points on 10-13 shooting and added three rebounds and an assist. 
  • Jamal Stephenson scored 17 points. 
  • Jok Jok scored 14 points, five rebounds, four assists and three blocks. 
  • Max Clark scored eight points, nine rebounds and five assists. 
  • David Harris scored 22 points, five rebounds and two assists for MSU-Northern.
  • Mascio McCadney scored 16  points, and five rebounds for the Lights.
 
Inside the Box Score
  • Both teams pounded the ball inside with the Bulldogs winning the battle of the paint 50-42.
  • The Bulldogs shot over 60 percent from the floor in each half, shooting 64 percent for the game.

The Bulldogs will face MSU-Northern again tomorrow Jan. 10 Tip-off from the Straugh Gymnasium is set for 4 p.m.
