The Bulldogs started slow and struggled from distance (19 percent from 3-points range) as Eastern Oregon built an early lead and hung on down the stretch to hand the Bulldogs thier first loss of the season.

• Jalen Hodges scored 22 points on 8-13 shooting.
• Jamal Stephenson scored 11 points and three rebounds. 
• Colter Miller had eight points and eight rebounds. 
• Philip Malatare scored 15 points and six rebounds for Eastern Oregon. 
• Max McCullough scored 12 points, two rebounds and three assists for the Mountaineers  

Inside the Box Score

• EOU out rebounded the Bulldogs 46-32. 
• UMW made just 5 3-point field goals.

The Bulldogs will head to Butte, Mont. for a pair of games next weekend. UMW will face Walla Walla on Thursday Nov. 4 at 3 p.m. and Dickinson State on Nov. 5 at 4 p.m.
