The Bulldogs used a solid team effort to defeat Rocky Mountain College in four sets Firday night. After dropping a close first set 23-25. UMW dominated the second 25-12. The Bulldogs hit .480 as a team in the set to tie the match at one. Morgan Stenger and Hailey Anderson each had four kills in the dominate set win. The third set was close, going back and forth until the Bulldogs took a 22-18 lead. Rocky rallied to cut the lead to one at 22-23. But Western took the win with a kill from Stenger.Â
The Bulldogs then dominated the fourth set to take the match and earn their first conference win of the season.Â

- Morgan Stenger had 16 kills, hit .270 and had a block.Â
- Hailey Anderson had 13 kills, hit 2.58 and added a block.Â
- Abbey Schwager had 29 assists and 10 digs.
- Kelsey Goddard had 33 digs.
- Danyel Martin ahd seven blocks, and seven kills.Â
- Rhiannon Nez had 15 kills for Rocky Mountain College.
- Blythe Sealey had 18 assists for the Bttlin' Bears.Â
- Ayla Embry had 25 digs for Rocky.Â

- The Bulldogs now have a two game winning streak against Rocky. The first time they have won two matches in a row vs RMC since 2005.Â

The Bulldogs are off next week and return to action Oct. 22 when they travel to Helena, Mont. to face Carroll College.Â
