The Bulldogs fell to No. 18 Rocky Mountain College in a hard fought four set match Friday night. After falling in the first set, the teams were locked in a tight second set. Knotted up at 13 apiece, Montana Western went on a 9-3 run to build a 22-16 lead before taking the set to tie that match at a one. In the third, the teams were tied at 12 before Rocky went on 10-3 run to take a 22-15 lead and seemingly locking up the win, but the Bulldogs battled back to trail 22-23 and give the Bears a scare. However, Rocky got the next two points to take a 2-1 advantage. In the fourth set, once again the teams were locked in aback-and-forth battle. Tied at 17 the Bears used an 8-2 run to close out the set and take the the match win.Â
