Bulldog Football Loses Second Straight as They Fall to Rocky Mountain 26-41

DILLON, Mont. – The Montana Western Football Team fell tonight 26-41 as they took on the Battlin' Bears from Rocky Mountain College. Jon Jund led the Bulldogs with 159 passing yards, 67 rushing yards, and a rushing touchdown. Jaden Amasiu led the Bulldog defense with 12 total tackles, five of which were solo.

How it Happened
The first half of the football game was a low-scoring battle between the teams. As the rain fell, the Bulldogs struggled to get points on the board until the second quarter. Rocky Mountain was the first team to score as Rocky quarterback George Tribble threw a 39 yard-touchdown pass. The Bulldog defense stepped up and forced a fumble as the Battlin' Bears were driving down the field to score. Just before the half, the Bulldogs were able to score on a 9-yard touchdown pass from Jund to Trey Mounts that brought the score to 6-7 at the half.

The second half was a much different ball game as the Bulldogs allowed the Battlin' Bears to score 34 points. The Bulldogs came out from the half with a fire lit that allowed them to score quickly off of a 75-yard rushing touchdown from Reese Neville. The next drive, the Bulldogs gave up a 31-yard touchdown pass that flipped the momentum back to the side of Rocky Mountain. Rocky would score two more touchdowns as the Bulldogs struggled with penalties on all sides of the ball. Despite bringing the game to a score of 26-28 with 11:43 left in the ball game, the Bulldogs were unable to piece together another scoring drive for the remainder of the game and fell to Rocky Mountain by a final score of 26-41.
