GREAT FALLS, Mont. - The Montana Western volleyball team fell tonight to the University of Providence Argos 3-1 by scores of 24-26, 23-25, 25-17, and 12-25. The Bulldogs move to 9-14 on the season and 1-6 in conference play.
How It Happened
The Bulldogs came out in set one and pushed the Argos past 25, but ultimately fell in a close battle in both sets one and two. The Bulldogs were able to pull some momentum together to take set three after they outhit the Argos .182 to .000. Providence came out hot in the fourth set and the Bulldogs were unable to come back from an 8-0 opening run.
Jazi Smith led the Bulldogs with 13 kills and two blocks.
Kaylee Fritz totaled 36 assists.
Danyel Martin totaled three blocks in the game and
Kelsey Goddard led the Bulldogs in the back row with 17 digs.
