BILLINGS, Mont. - The Montana Western Volleyball team finished out preseason play today going 1-1 on the day. The Bulldogs defeated MSU-Northern 3-0 in the first matchup of the day by scores of 25-23, 25-17, and 25-22. The Bulldogs then faced Rocky Mountain College and fell in a hard fought five-set game by scores of 18-25, 25-23, 16-25, 25-16, and 7-15.
"The team played really well the past couple of weekends. Being able to play that many games in a row and play at a high level shows their dedication to this team and to getting better. The fourth game of this weekend did not go our way, but we still had a lot of people step up in different ways. Now looking forward to Carroll and getting into conference play." Head Coach

How It Happened
The Bulldogs won the first game of the day in a sweep over MSU-Northern.
KayLee Kopp and
Peyton Vogl led the attack with 10 kills apiece. Vogl also led the Bulldogs with a .250 hitting pct. and picked up two blocks. Kopp added 18 digs and one block.
Danyel Martin totaled six blocks in the win for the Bulldogs.
Kaylee Fritz added 35 assists as the team totaled 41 kills in the game. Freshman
Elyce Palmer saw her first game in the libero position and picked up 13 digs in the game.
The Bulldogs stretched their win streak to eight straight games before falling in a five-set thriller to Rocky Mountain College in game two of the day. Three Bulldogs hit double digit numbers in kills with Martin (11), Kopp (10), and
Jazi Smith (11). Fritz tallied 25 assists in the game.
Ramyia Wendt also added 11 assists as the Bulldogs tallied 56 total kills in the game. Palmer led in the back row with 25 digs and
Morgan Kirch followed with 17 digs.
