DILLON, Mont. — The Bulldog Women's basketball team fell tonight to the Carroll College Saints by a score of 72-60. The Bulldogs are now 17-3 on the season and 5-2 in conference play.

How It Happened
The Saints opened the game hot, running behind a 15-2 scoring run to open the game. The Bulldogs were just 4-16 from the field in the first quarter as they were outscored 24-8 across the first ten minutes.

Brynley Fitzgerald and Jordan Sweeney knocked down a much-needed pair of three-pointers with over seven minutes to play in the first half to swing some momentum back towards the Bulldogs. Montana Western would go on to outscore the Saints in the second quarter 18-17 and went into the break with ground to cover as they were down 41-26.

Carroll took control of the third quarter, riding behind a huge 23-13 scoring advantage over the Bulldogs and stretching their lead to 25 points.

Though the game seemed out of reach, the Bulldog bench jumped into the mix and got the offense going. Payton Hagy and Isabella Lund combined for 13 points and sparked a huge fourth quarter for the Bulldogs.
