DILLON, Mont. — The Bulldog Men's Basketball team finish up on top in a 60-56 battle with the MSU-Northern Lights. The Bulldogs are now 11-16 this season and 6-8 in Frontier Conference action.
"Really proud of our team. Everyone that played stepped up. Our guys made big shots and got stops down at the end to win. But more importantly, a three-game win streak. We have one more game at home to honor our seniors and we just have to keep finding ways to get better and hopefully make a run at the conference tournament." Head Coach

How It Happened
The Bulldogs jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead as
Tanner Haverfield and
Colter Miller scored a pair of baskets, with Haverfield's going for three.
Though a very slow start for both teams, the Lights flipped the script following their own 6-0 run on the Bulldogs.
With 3:06 left in the half,
Brenton Woods made use of an and one opportunity and pushed the Bulldogs ahead at 25-15.
The Bulldogs finished out the half up 28-20 behind
Jamal Stephenson's three-point play with just one second left on the clock.
A triple by
Jok Jok kept the Bulldog lead at eight, 37-29, with 15:19 left in the second half. Buckets by
Jacob Ankeny and
Michael Haverfield helped to put pressure on the Lights as the Bulldogs led by 10 with 10 minutes remaining.
T. Haverfield, Stephenson, and Jok all scored in the final five minutes of the game. Stephenson and Jok added four apiece down the stretch and a pair of free throws by T. Haverfield closed out the contest at 60-56.

- The Bulldog defense held the Lights to a below average score of just 56 points in tonight's game. The Lights average 73.4 points per game in conference play.
- UMW forced 11 MSU-Northern turnovers tonight, as well as combining for six steals and a blocked shot.
- Nine of the 10 Bulldogs who played in tonight's game contributed to the final score.
- Jamal Stephenson led the Bulldogs with 14 points and three rebounds.
- Tanner Haverfield added eight points and two rebounds.
