UMW Volleyball’s Gritty Performance Not Enough in 3-1 Loss to #7 Bellevue

DILLON, Mont. – The Montana Western volleyball team (10-14, 8-9 FC) fought their way back into the match, but ultimately fell to #7 Bellevue (19-3, 15-2 FC) 3-1 Wednesday night in Straugh Gymnasium.
 
"The team fought back hard tonight but let unforced errors get in the way," Head Coach Katie Lovett said. "We are looking forward to another opportunity tomorrow.  
 
NOTABLES
Three Bulldogs recorded at least 10 digs.
 
Averi Look tallied a career-high 4.0 blocks.
 
MATCH SUMMARY
The Bruins came out hot, quickly going up 2-0 with back-to-back 25-13 set wins. The Bulldogs recovered their footing in the third and used a strong serving game to take the third frame 25-23. The comeback continued in the fourth, with UMW holding a narrow lead for much of the set. However, after tying the game at 19 apiece, the Bruins took the lead once more and put the match away 25-20.
