UMW Volleyball Wraps Up Season in 2025 Frontier Conference Quarterfinals

HELENA, Mont. – The Montana Western volleyball program (13-17, 11-11 FC) fell 3-0 to #2 Providence (29-2, 21-1 FC) Thursday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Frontier Conference Volleyball Championship.
 
"I am so incredibly proud of this group and how they worked together to overcome so much adversity this season," head coach Katie Lovett said. "I am excited about the future and impressed by how many of our young athletes stepped up throughout the year. Thank you to our seniors who put in so much work and were dedicated to the growth of this program. We can look back on this season with pride."
 
NOTABLES
Kennedy Lingenfelter recorded her fourth double-digit kill effort in the last five matches.
 
Megan Hardman tallied her 15th straight match with 10 or more assists.
 
Rosborough hit a team-best .353 clip, earning seven kills with just one error on 17 swings.
 
MATCH SUMMARY
Western came out firing in the first set, taking an early 5-1 lead and forcing a timeout from the top-seeded Argos. The two sides kept it close through the middle of the set, but a 9-4 run by UP sealed the set one win 25-19. The second frame continued in a similar manner, with the Bulldogs fighting point for point until Providence went on a 6-1 run to close it out with another 25-19 scoreline. In the final frame UMW showed grit, leading by as many as four points, but the Argos once again stormed back at the end to take the match with a third 25-19 set win.
