Kennedy Lingenfelter Named Frontier Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week

HELENA, Mont. – Montana Western's Kennedy Lingenfelter picked up Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Women's Volleyball Attacker of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

The award marks the first conference weekly honor of Lingenfelter's career and fourth-straight weekly honor for the Bulldogs.

"Really excited for Kennedy to be acknowledged for all of her hard work," head coach Katie Lovett said. "She's been really reliable for us recently and this past week she was on another level."

Lingenfelter was outstanding last weekend, leading the Bulldogs to another 2-0 road week and seven-straight victories.

The sophomore totaled 33 kills across nine sets (3.67 kills per set) and hit a blistering .533 clip with just one total error.

She opened the week with 15 kills and a .424 hitting percentage in UMW's 3-1 win over Bismarck State Friday.

The Clovis, Calif., native followed that with career highs in both kills (18) and hitting percentage (.667) in the five-set victory over Dickinson State. Her 18 kills came on 27 error-free swings.

She also posted 5.0 total blocks and four digs on the weekend.

ON THE HORIZON
The Bulldogs are back home this week to face off against Bellevue (10/23) and Dakota State (10/24).
