Montana Western Rodeo Closes Out Regular Season at University of Montana

DILLON, Mont. – The Montana Western men's and women's rodeo teams travel to Missoula, Mont., this weekend to compete in the University of Montana Rodeo. The event takes place at the Missoula County Fairgrounds and serves as the final regular-season competition for the Bulldogs.

BULLDOG ROUNDUP
With one regular-season rodeo to go, the UMW men's team sits second in the Big Sky region team standings with 5,791.50 points. The women's team ranks third in the region 1,967.00.

Individually, multiple Bulldogs are ranked in the top-five in their respective events. Cardell Laughery (saddle bronc), Coy Montgomery (bareback), and Gavin Knutson (bull riding) all rank first in the Big Sky. Knutson also ranks fifth in the men's all-around standings.

Cade Costello sits second in saddle bronc while Jeremy Kay (bareback) and Tynell McInenly (breakaway roping) rank third in their events.

Teely Bott and Tavy Leno are tied for fourth in the women's all-around rankings.

Laura Haight also sits fourth in the barrels.

Bott, Knutson, and Konnor Ward rank third, fourth, and fifth, respectively, among team-roping headers while Bry Severe, Luke Garrison, and Carson Daniels sit third, fourth, and fifth for the team-roping heelers.

Josie Robbins and Leno are fourth and fifth in the region in goat tying while Westen Wade rounds sits fifth in the bull riding.
