Crossley Earns Frontier All-Conference Recognition, Lynch and Streck Named Champions of Character

HELENA, Mont. – Bulldog track and field athlete Luke Crossley was named to the Frontier Conference Outdoor Track and Field All-Conference Team. Mason Lynch and Kendalyn Streck were the Montana Western recipients of the Outdoor Track and Field Champion of Character awards.

Crossley's all-conference recognition comes on the heels of his program and meet record 10,000m win at the Frontier Conference Outdoor Championships.

"Luke has put in a lot of work this season and has had some big PRs," head coach Taylor Grove said. "He went out and led the race from the gun and it was great to see him push the pace and come away with the win. Definitely well deserved."

In his first season with the Bulldogs, Crossley set the school records in both the 5,000m and 10,000m while also moving into second all-time in the 1500m.

He finished in the top 10 in six races this year, including three first-place finishes.

Lynch and Streck were named the men's and women's track and field Champions of Character for Western. The head coach from each Frontier Conference member selects the recipient that fits to the NAIA's Champions of Character initiative program's five cores that include integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.

The mission of the NAIA's Champions of Character program is to provide training to instill the values that build character so that students, coaches, and parents know, do, and value the right thing on and off the field.

"Kendalyn and Mason have been great for out team," Grove said. "They have great attitudes and are always working to improve, encourage their teammates, and are willing to help when asked. They have both been good leaders in the program.
