Montana Western Men’s Rodeo Concludes Second Go Round at CNFR

CASPER, Wyo. – The Montana Western men's rodeo team completed the first go at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyo., Tuesday morning. The third go round begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday and will run through Friday (6/19) evening's performance.

Gavin Knutson posted another clean ride in the bull riding, scoring a 61.0. His two-run score of 143.00 puts him second in the overall standings.

Cade Costello completed his second go in the saddle bronc on Monday with a 55.0. He has a two-run score of 126.25 heading into the third go.

Cardell Laughery earned a 66.5 on his second ride in the saddle bronc.

Jeremy Kay received no score in his second bareback attempt after a 67.50 on his first bareback run.

Jake Deveraux no-timed in the second go of the tie-down roping. He posted a 10.1 in the first go.

Cooper Pavkov and Bry Severe registered a 16.1 in the second round of team roping. Knutson and Luke Garrison did not post a clean attempt.

LOOKING AHEAD
The Bulldogs will compete in the third go round over the next several days. Jake Deveraux (tie-down roping) will compete Tuesday evening, Cardell Laughery (saddle bronc), Gavin Knutson (team roping), and Luke Garrison (team roping) go again in Thursday's performance. Knutson (bull riding), Jeremy Kay (bareback), Cooper Pavkov (team roping), Bry Severe (team roping), and Cade Costello (saddle bronc) will all see action again in Friday's performance.
