Montana Western Cross Country Inks 14 to 2026 Roster

DILLON, Mont. – The UMW Cross Country team has added 14 runners ahead of the 2026 season, head coach Taylor Grove announced Friday.

A brief profile on each athlete and a quote from Grove follow below.

"I am very excited about our incoming class this year," Grove said. "It is a lot of new people and it can definitely take time for athletes to adjust to new training, higher elevation, and just being in college. But I know a lot of them put in a lot of work over the summer and we will definitely have a few individuals on both the men's and women's teams who will be able to be in our top five right away and be strong performers for

The women's team is bolstered by six true freshman and two transfer student-athletes.

Cadence Cameron, Freshman
Harlowton, Mont. / Harlowton HS
Cameron joins the Bulldogs from Harlowton, Mont. She is a two-time all-state runner for Harlowton HS. She is the daughter of Megan and Randy Cameron and will major in Psychology.

Taylor Gable, Freshman
Kalispell, Mont. / Glacier HS
Gable comes to UMW out of Glacier HS in Kalispell, Mont. She helped her team to the Divisional title in her final season. She is the daughter of Carrie Gable and Kyle and Mandy Gable and plans to major in Kinesiology.

Abbi Lemelin, Junior
Dillon, Mont. / Concordia Moorhead
Lemelin returns to her hometown after two seasons at NCAA DIII program Concordia Moorhead. She posted one top 25 finish and two top 50 finishes over her first two seasons. She is the daughter of Greg and Charise Lemelin and is majoring in Kinesiology.

Madison Lohmeyer, Freshman
Shelton, Wash. / Shelton HS
Lohmyer joins the Bulldogs out of Shelton, Wash. In her senior season she placed 11th in the District 4 3A meet. She was an all-league runner all four years. She is the daughter of Micah and Christina Lohmyer and will major in Elementary Education.

Wrennie McGarr, Freshman
Granite, Wash. / Granite HS
McGarr comes to Western from Granite, Wash. In her final season at Granite HS she led her team to the 2025 WIAA State Championships and was named Fall Athlete of the Year. She is the daughter of Anna and Israel McGarr and plans to major in Biology.

SheaLee Novak, Freshman
Anaconda, Mont. / Anaconda HS
Novak joins UMW from Anaconda, Mont. She is a three-time all-conference runner who placed in the top 10 at divisionals twice and district three times. She also helped her team to a second-place finish at divisionals in 2023. She is the daughter of Sara and Daren Novak and will major in Kinesiology.

Kaelyn Sangray, Redshirt-Freshman
Townsend, Mont. / MSU-Billings
Sangray is a transfer from MSU-Billings, where she spent the 2025-26 cross country and track and field seasons. Prior to her time at MSUB, she was a standout at Broadwater HS in Townsend, Mont., where she was a three-time recipient of the Bulldog Award. She is the daughter of Josh and Misty Sangray and plans to major in Elementary Education.

Natalee Stevens, Freshman
Mapleton, Ore. / Mapleton HS
Stevens joins the Bulldogs out of Mapleton, Ore. She is a Second Team All-District runner who finished ninth individual at the district meet and is the school record holder in the 3k and the 5k. She is the daughter of Brian Stevens and Natasha Flemming and will major in Secondary and K-12 Education.

The men's team added five runners to strengthen the team alongside the six returners.

Taylor Graham, Freshman
Darby, Mont. / Darby HS
Graham comes to Western from Darby, Mont. He earned third at divisionals on three occasions while also competing in basketball and tennis. He is the son of Greg Graham and Jordan Helton and is majoring in Business.

Gavin Jasper, Freshman
Astoria, Ore. / Knappa HS
Jasper comes to Dillon from Knappa High School in Astoria, Ore. He helped lead the cross country team to the 2025 2A State Championship. Jasper was a 2026 all-state performer in both cross country and track and field. He is the son of Daniel and Christa Jasper and plans to major in Natural Resource Science.

Silas Kaluza, Freshman
Nine Mile Falls, Wash. / Lakeside HS
Kaluza joins the Bulldogs our of Lakeside HS where he helped his team to four straight district championships. He was named the team MVP in both cross country and track and field and served as team captain his senior season. He is the son of Jamison and Jessica Kaluza and will major in Farm and Ranch Management.

Blake Olson, Freshman
Sheridan, Wyo. / Big Horn HS
Olson comes to Dillon from Sheridan Wyoming. He earned multiple all-state nods in both cross country and track and field and was an all-conference runner in his final season. He was named the Powder River Male Athlete of the Year in 2026.He is the son of Kyle and Auriel Clark and is majoring in Business.

Ryker Zuffelato, Freshman
Kalispell, Mont. / Flathead HS
Zuffelato comes to UMW from Flathead HS in Kalispell, Mont. He is a four-time state meet competitor who placed 37th at state in his final season at Flathead. He is the son of Dustin and Nici Zuffelato and plans to major in K-12 Physical Education and Health.
