Montana Western Rodeo Opens 2026-27 at Trapper Stampede

DILLON, Mont. – The Montana Western men's and women's rodeo teams travel to Cody, Wyo., this weekend to compete in the Trapper Stampede, hosted by Northwest College.

BULLDOG ROUNDUP
The Bulldog men's team finished second in the Big Sky Region with 6,256.50 points on the season. They sent eight competitors to the 2026 College National Finals Rodeo.

The women's team placed third overall with 2,047.00, narrowly missing out on CNFR qualification.

Western added 19 student-athletes ahead of the 2026-27 season, 12 on the women's side and seven on the men's team.

The Bulldogs compete again next weekend (Sept. 18-19) when they travel to Glendive, Mont., for the Dawson CC Rodeo.
