Story of the Day
The University of Montana Western Bulldogs fell in a close contest at Idaho State University 74-66 Thursday night. The Bulldogs battled with the NCAA Div I opponent the entire game leading at the half 33-31, silencing the home-town crowd. The Bengals came out of the break and shot 55 percent from the floor to pull away late and avoid the upset. 

Star of the Game
Cedric Boone scored a game-high 27 points on 9-19 shooting. He also had four assists, three rebounds, and two steals.

The Bulldogs held the Bengals to 44 percent shooting overall. 
The Bengals had eight blocked shots.
There were five lead changes and five ties.
The Bulldogs led for nearly 20 minutes of game time. 

The Bulldogs So Far
The game was an exhibition for the Bulldogs, who are 3-2 on the season. The Bengals improved to 3-3.
