The MSU-Northern Lights used a late push in the first half to build a big lead over the Montana Western Bulldogs. The Bulldog tried to fight their way back in to the game in the second half, several time cutting the lead to 10. However, the Bulldogs couldn't get past that threshold and the Lights hit free-throws down the stretch to hold on to the road victory. The Bulldogs shot just 28 percent form the floor and were minus 17Â on the glass.Â
Turning Point
The Bulldogs trailed the Lights by a single point with six and a half minutes remaining in the first half. The Lights then closed the half on a 19-3 run to lead by 17 at the intermission.Â
It was Over When
Justin Dunsmore connected on a pair of free-throws with four minutes remaining to push the Lights lead up to 15. The Bulldogs then missed 3-point attempts on their next two possessions.Â
Individual Leaders
Cedric Boone led all scorers with a season-high 26 points, three rebounds, and two steals.Â
Kooper Kidgell scored 19 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.Â
Kevon Bey led the Lights with 22 points and nine rebounds.Â

The Lights shot 60 percent from the floor in the first half and scored on eight of their last nine possessions in the first half.Â
