The Bulldogs battled hard for 45 minutes only to see the Argos sink a three at the overtime buzzer to put a dagger in the Bulldogs hopes of an upset victory. The Bulldog offense and defense put a complete game together going toe-to-toe with the high-scoring Argos. Both teams built multiple possession leads, only to see the opponent come back to tie the game. The Bulldogs forced a couple of turnovers late in the second-half to tie the game on a Cedric Boone lay in with five seconds left. The Bulldog defense made a stand and forced overtime. The Argos jumped out to a early four-point lead in the extra session. The Bulldogs fought back and tied the game with 5.4 seconds remaining in overtime. The game looked like it would need a second extra session, but that thought didn't last long as the Argo's Jalen Shephard had other ideas hitting the walk-off game winner at the buzzer.
Turning Point
Cedric Boone hit a trey with nine minutes left the second-half to tie the game at 67 to bring the Bulldogs back from a multiple possession deficit.
It Was Over When
Jalen Shephard sunk a pull up trey from the top of the key at the buzzer.Â
Individual Leaders
Cedric Boone scored a career-high 31 points and made seven 3-point shots. He also had four assists and a steal.
Kooper Kidgell scored 20 points and was 4-7 from downtown.
Troy Scott had a 10 point 11 rebound double-double.Â
Jalen Shepard scored 25 points to lead the Argos. He was 11-12 from the floor and 3-3 from 3-point range including the game-winner.
Jaxson Hashley scored 20 points, eight rebounds, three assists, to steals, and two blocks.Â
