The Bulldogs opened the 2019-20 season with a near upset of No. 3 College of Idaho at the Montana Tech Tip-Off Classic. The 'Yotes raced out to a ten point lead and maintained it for most of the game. The Bulldogs kept the game close and in the final seven minutes made a run at an upset bid. The Bulldogs cut the lead to as little as three points, but offensive miscues and clutch free-throw shooting by C of I down the stretch allowed the 'Yotes to escape with the win. 

Top Performers

• Cedric Boone led all scorers with 27 points. He added six rebounds, four assists, and a steal.
• James Jones recorded a 16 point 10 assist double-double. He and pulled down six rebounds in his Bulldog debut. 
• Brian Howell shot 7-10 from the floor for 14 points. 
• Max Clark scored eight points nad had four rebounds. 
• Ivory Miles-Williams scored a team-high 17 points and added four rebounds and two assists for the 'Yotes. 
• Tyler Pinckney scored 14 points, nine assists, and five rebounds for C of I. 

Inside the Box Score

• Cedric Boone hit six of the Bulldogs nine 3-point field goals.
• The Coyotes shot 61 percent from the floor, including 47 percent from beyond the arc.
