CHANDLER, Ariz.—The Montana Western Bulldogs (10-5, 0-2) rolled past the Pioneers of Antelope Valley, 76-52, to open play at the Cactus Classic.
The Pioneers only managed to lead the Bulldogs for 51 seconds, early in the first half. From there, Montana Western slowly extended their lead and led the Pioneers 45 to 27 at the half.
In the second half, the Pioneers went on a 12 to three point run for the first seven minutes of play, though the Bulldogs had no issue of re-extending their lead to 25 points to finish out the game.
The Bulldogs held the Pioneers to just 25 percent from the field and 11 percent from the arc; Montana Western ended the game with 47 percent from the field and 42 percent from the arc.
