DILLON, Mont.—Head coach
Lindsay Woolley announced the signing of Box Elder standout Kyla Momberg to the women's basketball team for the 2022-2023 season.
Momberg, a five-foot-seven senior point guard at Box Elder High School, averages 17 points, six rebounds, four assists, four steals, and 0.5 blocks per game. She is a four-year varsity player, a two-time all-conference and all-state award recipient, and her team won the Class C State Championship in both 2018 and 2019. Momberg will join her sister,
Joelnell Momberg, on the women's basketball team at Montana Western.
In addition to basketball, Momberg participated in high school volleyball, golf, and cross country. She qualified for the cross country state competition in her freshman and junior years.
Momberg has been on honor roll for the past three years at Box Elder. As a Bulldog, she intends to study early childhood education.
"Kyla is an extremely skilled guard who can run the point and score from the perimeter," coach Woolley said. "She really uses her length to her advantage on both ends of the floor and will fit seamlessly into our program. We are excited she chose to join the Bulldog family!"
