DILLON, Mont.—The Montana Western Bulldogs (15-11, 4-7) barely fell short to No. 20 Montana Tech Orediggers (21-5, 10-1), 69-76.
The Bulldogs got off to a hot start in the first half; they went 10 of 20 from the arc, four of which were in the final two-and-a-half minutes. At halftime, the Bulldogs led the Orediggers 36-26.
The Orediggers started the second half with a six-minute 17-3 run. The two teams traded points until a minute left in the game, when the score was tied 69-69. Montana Tech added their final seven points from the foul line, as the Bulldogs were desperate to gain another possession.
