DILLON, Mont. – The upcoming week in Bulldog athletics will see the Bulldog Men's and Women's Basketball teams in action on the road and back at home.
 
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The UMW Women's Basketball team snagged their 20th win of the season this past weekend with their top 25 rout of the No. 22 ranked Rocky Mountain College. The Bulldogs ride behind a three-game win streak into the week ahead as they will first take on the Montana Tech Orediggers. Tip-off is set for Thursday at 5PM MST. The Bulldogs are 2-0 over the Orediggers this season, with both games coming down to the wire. The Orediggers are 3-7 in the Frontier Conference and 7-13 on the season. They are led in scoring by Tavia Rooney who is averaging 14.1 points per game.
 
Following the Thursday game, the Bulldogs head back to Dillon for a game against the No. 11 ranked Carroll College. Game time is set for 2PM MST in the Straugh Gymnasium. The Bulldogs are 0-2 against the Saints this season and sit just behind the Saints in the conference standings. The Saints are 9-1 in conference play and are the front-runners in the Frontier Conference. They are 18-5 on the season and are led in scoring by Jamie Pickens who is averaging 15.8 points per game.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The UMW Men's Basketball team enters the week at 8-15 on the season and fighting to break a five-game skid in conference play. They will travel to Butte, Mont. to take on the No. 12 ranked Orediggers on Thursday evening. The Bulldogs are 1-1 with Montana Tech this season, with both games coming down to the final minutes of the game. The Orediggers are 19-4 on the season and 7-3 in conference play. They enter the matchup following a road loss to the MSU-Northern Lights. The Orediggers are led in scoring by Caleb Bellach who is averaging 18.9 points per game.

Following the Thursday night matchup, the Bulldogs head back to Dillon for a home matchup against the Carroll College Saints. The Saints are 2-0 over the Bulldogs this season following the four-point win over UMW back on January 19. They are 11-10 overall this season and 5-5 in conference play. The Saints are led in scoring by Andrew Cook who is averaging 18.9 points per game.
