DILLON, Mont. – Coming off a pair of wins last week, Jalyn Stepney from Montana Western has been voted as the Erck Hotels Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
 
Stepney receives his first honor of the season and it's the second consecutive week the award has gone to a player from Western.

Stepney used a pair of 20-plus scoring performances to average 26.5 points per game on 53.3 percent shooting. He connected on 6 of 15 from three and went 15 of 17 at the foul line in wins over Eastern Oregon and Walla Walla.

In an 89-83 win over EOU, Stepney scored a career-high 33 points on 10 of 15 shooting. That included making 11 of his 12 attempts at the foul line and grabbing four rebounds. Stepney then scored 20 points with four makes from beyond the arc and two rebounds in an 81-59 win over Walla Walla.
