Isakson Adds Ryne Freeman to Men’s Basketball Staff

DILLON, Mont. – Montana Western Men's Basketball has added Ryne Freeman as an assistant coach, Head Coach J.C. Isakson announced Thursday.

"We are excited to add Coach Freeman to our staff," Isakson said. "He came highly recommended from his previous head coaches and already has shown a tremendous work ethic and commitment to the team. Coach Freeman is a bright young coaching professional and will have an impact in all areas of our program."

Freeman comes to UMW after two years at Southwestern Oklahoma State, where he started as a graduate assistant before being elevated to an assistant coach.

Prior to his time at SWOSU, he was the head manager for men's basketball at Northeastern State from 2020-24.

The Pryor, Okla., native earned his master's degree in sports management from SWOSU in 2026. He completed a bachelor's in health and physical education at NSU in 2024.
