CASPER, Wyo. – The Montana Western Men's Rodeo team finished competition at the 2023 College National Finals Rodeo this past week in Casper, Wyo. The Bulldogs sent five athletes to compete across the week. As a team, the Bulldogs finished in 46th place.
Ty Christensen was the highest placer for the Bulldogs in the individual standings. He placed 15th in the overall standings for Tie Down Roping (9.9, 12.0, 15.9). He also competed in Team Roping with
Jhet Murphy, but did not recorded a score (NS, NS, NS).
Murphy also competed in Steer Wrestling, placing 35th after scoring a 7.1 in the second go round (NS, 7.1, NS).
Brett Bartholomew placed 33rd in Tie Down Roping after he recorded a 12.9 and a 13.3 in the first and second go rounds (12.9, 13.3, NS).
Carson Klingler competed in the Saddle Bronc Riding and finished in 38th place after he recorded a score of 51.0 in the second go round (NS, 51.0, NS).
Gavin Knutson competed in the Bull Riding for the Bulldogs, but did not record a score on a ride (NS, NS, NS).
