Adedo Leads Bulldogs with 28 Points in Overtime Win Over Multnomah

PORTLAND, Ore. – Montana Western men's basketball (4-1) faced their first overtime test this season in tonight's win over the previously undefeated Multnomah University (Ore.). The Bulldogs finished the game up 96-94 in the high scoring affair.

Abi Adedo led the Bulldogs on the night, putting down 28 points on a 10-12 performance from the field and going 8-10 at the charity stripe.

How It Happened
The Bulldogs took their first big lead of the game following an and one opportunity from Adedo that gave UMW a seven-point lead with nine minutes left in the first half. The Bulldogs continued to push as Jacksen Burckley hit a three-pointer and Kevin Bethel utilized a steal and laid it in for a fastbreak pair of points.

The Lions countered with their own push, rattling off 10 points that were broken up by a lone three from Alan Kane. Multnomah would cut the UMW lead to two points at 36-34 with just under two minutes left in the half before Western extended their lead back out to 11 after another Burckley three-pointer at the close of the half.

Cold shooting from the Bulldogs and a hot start for Multnomah closed the scoring gap once more and the Lions would tie the game at 51 with 14:03 on the clock.

It was Adedo who kept the Bulldogs out in front, scoring on back-to-back chances to extend UMW's lead once more to 10 points. The Lions refused to lay down, fighting to tie the game and extend the game into overtime after tying it up at 84 all at the end of regulation.
