Kyle Gruhler Earns Second-Straight Offensive Player of the Week Honor

HELENA, Mont. – Montana Western men's basketball player Kyle Gruhler picked up his second Erck Hotels/ Frontier Conference Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week honor in as many weeks after leading the Bulldogs to two victories, including over #14 Southern Oregon. It is his third career player of the week award.

"We're proud of Kyle for earning another Frontier Player of the Week award," head coach Patrick Jensen said. "He keeps stepping up and playing within our system. Our team is playing together and trusting each other with these quick turnarounds."

Gruhler continued his hot start to the season, posting 21 points against Warner Pacific and a career-high matching 32 against SOU.

The Vancouver, Wash., native shot 65.5 percent (19-29) from the field, 46.6 percent (7-15) from beyond the arc, and 100.0 percent (8-8) from the charity stripe over the two games.

Gruhler missed just two shots against the Knights, shooting 81.8 percent (9-11) from the field. He followed that up with a 55.5 percent (10-18) shooting night against the Raiders.

He capped the week with five rebounds, four assists, and a steal.

LOOKING AHEAD
Up next, the Bulldogs travel to Butte, Mont., to take part in the Montana Tech Tip-Off Classic Nov. 7-8. They will face off against LC State and OUAZ.
